Will Travel For Champagne: A Night of Champagne With The “Nuit du Champagne” Tour

June 17, 2016 by The Bubbleista

Nuit du Champ tour map

What do you do when you’re a staunch believer in, and advocate of, the philosophy of convincing more people that they should be drinking more champagne more often?

If you’re The Bubbleista you get wine education and certification; host champagne tastings; drink bubbly every week {strictly for learning purposes, of course}; write blog posts about champagne and sparkling wine; read books on the subject; and generally tell anyone who will listen for more than 2 seconds about the wonders of the magical, sparkling, divine elixir.

If you’re the brilliant brains behind Nuit du Champagne, however, you go even bigger and create your own effervescent experience entirely and solely dedicated to the love of French champagne, and then take that experience on the road with a five-city tour that provides a night of nirvana to champagne lovers everywhere.

Those French are just such thoughtful people!

A {Champagne} Night Out On The Town

Nuit du Champ hors and bubbly

Nuit du Champagne is the brainchild of corporate, public, & experiential events agency French Touch Events, in partnership with Champagne & Ardenne {tourism for the Champagne Region} and France’s Official Tourism Agency. The night will showcase the rich and intriguing history of the Champagne region and the infamous French “Grand Maisons de Champagne.”

The goal of Nuit du Chamapagne is “to reaffirm French Champagne as the only authentic Champagne” through hosting a series of festive, experiential, and exclusive events with an educational spin in cities across the US. What all of that means to you, my dear lovers of effervescence, is an exclusive night of exquisite, delicious, eventful fun!

The tour will kick-off with its first stop in the Nation’s Capital, and Nuit du Champagne graciously reached out to me with an invitation to the inaugural event so that I can get a sneak peek of what’s in store. Naturally it was absolutely a no-brainer for this #ChampagneObsessed committed bubbly enthusiast to respond quickly with “Mais, oui!”

Pour It Up, Pour it Up

Ruinart Blanc de Blanc (Instagram)The kick-off of this bubbly bonanza will be hosted at the luxurious Sofitel Hotel Lafayette Square in Washington DC. The champagne house that will be pouring at the event are:

  • Veuve Clicquot will offer Veuve Clicquot Yellow, Veuve Clicquot Rosé, Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2008, Veuve Clicquot 2008 Rosé and La Grande Dame Blanc
  • Moët & Chandon will present Moët & Chandon Impérial, Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial, Moët & Chandon Vintage Blanc, Moët & Chandon Vintage Rosé and Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial
  • Krug will pour the Grande Cuvée
  • Dom Pérignon Blanc will be poured
  • Ruinart will offer their Blanc de Blanc {which is what I had at my wedding in Grand Cayman!}

Nuit du Champ List of Champagne Partners

The intriguing thing is that Nuit du Champagne has created 3 separate experiences for the launch event, with distinctive offerings at every level. Check them out to see which one tickles your fancy the most:

General Admission Individual Pass

Guests purchasing tickets at this level will get 2 glasses of the champagne from the brands of their choosing, along with dancing to the haute and hip musical stylings of Charlotte Balibar, also known as the French-born DJ Super Jaimie.

It’s the perfect Francophile’s dream.

Tickets are $70 per person and $120 per couple, making it a very lovely and unique date night option. Click here to get your tickets.

Nuit du Champ Individual Pass

VIP Lounge

I must confess that Nuit du Champagne will really kick things up a few notches when it comes to enchanting you with the VIP experience. Not only do guests get the champagne and music provided at the Individual Pass level, but they will also get exquisite culinary bites specifically designed to complement champagne, which includes chocolate truffles by French confectioner La Maison du Chocolat paired with Dom Pérignon.

La Maison du Chocolat 2

And the perks are just getting started.

My personal belief is that champagne makes the drinker beautiful on the inside and outside, which is in perfect alignment with the philosophy of luxury beauty brand Caudalie. Caudalie uses vine and grape extracts from the vineyards of Bordeaux, Champagne and Burgundy in their products, and they will be at the event providing exquisite “vinotherapie” treatments {yep, “vino” as in wine!}.

Relaxing beauty treatments to go along with my glass of champagne? Well don’t mind if I do.

Caudalie Beauty products

But wait, there’s more! Sturia Caviar Haute Couture will host a caviar and champagne pairing {one of my fave combinations} sensory experience workshop in the Lounge.

Sturia Caviar

Can you say ooh la la?

Purchase your VIP Lounge single tickets for $110 or couples tickets for $200.

Attorney Champagne Lounge

In a city where there are arguably more attorneys per capita than any place in the entire world, Nuit du Champagne smartly chose to have a Champagne Lounge specifically for legal eagles.

As an attorney myself {I work on trademarks and branding with creative entrepreneurs} I must say that I was quite amused with this. After all, who better to strongly advocate and formulate arguments for the virtues of the “making of Champagne, its history, and the unique expertise of its winemakers” than a bunch of negotiating, position-defending, bubbly-loving barristers?

Well played, Nuit du Champagne, Well played.

The Attorney Lounge has reserved seating; bottle-service; bites; music; and an exclusive opportunity to network.

The Sippin’ Don’t Stop!

Not a resident of the DMV? Don’t fret: the tour has 4 more stops scheduled for Philadelphia in September {exact date TBD}; Houston on October 1st; New York on October 21st; and Miami in December {exact date TBD}.

For the dedicated champagne enthusiasts, Nuit de Champagne has a special offer for you to become a Champagne Ambassador. Here are the perks of becoming an Ambassador Club Member:

Access to the event an hour before the general opening

Access to the VIP Space dedicated to the NUIT DU CHAMPAGNE AMBASSADOR’S CLUB during the entire event

Invitations sent in priority to the NUIT DU CHAMPAGNE AMBASSADOR’S CLUB Members

Advance &/or exclusive Communication of special offers from selected partners

Discount Rates for Members :25% off the regular price of any NUIT DU CHAMPAGNE event

Priority access to NUIT DU CHAMPAGNE “Workshops” and other experiences

Now you know I just have to share the full details on all of the event “fabulousness” that happens at the launch, so be sure to check back here on www.TheBubbleista.com in July for the full and official post-event recap to see all of the behind-the-scenes action, as well as get a taste of what to expect when the tour comes to your town!

If you’re planning to attend any of the stops of the tour be sure to Tweeter me at @TheBubbleista to let me know–you never know where or what event I might pop-up at to get my bubbly on, and it would be lovely to clink glasses with my fellow bubbly lovers!

Cheers my dears–and I’ll see you at Nuit du Champagne!

Saturday is {yet another} “wine holiday,” so I thought what better reason to provide you with some of my special brand of #EffervescentEducation than giving you the lowdown on the sparkling wine you should be drinking right now: Lambrusco! Some folks of a certain age may instantly cringe and shudder just seeing the word “Lambrusco.” It’s understandable, though, […]
