Havana Ooh Na Na: The Ultimate Havana Cuba Travel Guide For Food and Culture Lovers

YA’LL. I know, I know, I know–this blog post is looonnngggg overdue. The truth is I actually went to Cuba way back in September…of 2017. *insert shameful face emoji here*

Despite the delayed recap post about my travels however, the spirit of Cuba that was imparted into my soul is just as deep as it was the over a year ago.

Hotel Kempenski Havana: the views of Havana from their rooftop bar, pool, and restaurant are arguably unparalleled. Really good cocktails.
El Del Frente: this is the local, neighborhood restaurant I was telling you about. They also have a rooftop where there’s live music. https://www.alamesacuba.com/es/la-habana/restaurant/el-del-frente/
La Guarida: this is a highly popular restaurant among both locals and tourists alike, but with good reason! This  is the spot that Dennis was mentioning that is housed in an old mansion with marble staircases. Food is exceptional. http://www.laguarida.com/en/
Destino Restaurant: this is where the Vessel Group hosted their company dinner for oil, gas, and energy execs. Great food. Located in a neighborhood. They have a cigar lounge and bar that’s outdoors.
Fabrica de Arte Cubans: art meets fashion  meets music meets tons of cultural fabulousness. Not always open though so be sure to check before you go.
Air B n B (on the Malecon)
Hotel Dennis stayed in (amazing marble lobby and luxe pool area; rooms are lovely but the mattresses are super duper firm and weren’t comfortable or me)
AVOID AT ALL COSTS: El Guajirito. The absolute worst meal we had in Havana. Terrible food. Straight up tourist trap.
