The Ultimate Dinner Party Williams-Sonoma Style

Everybody loves a good dinner party, but not everybody loves doing everything it takes to host a good dinner party.

Williams Sonoma to the rescue

I’ve long admired their home goods {I had one of my wedding registries there} including cocktail mixes; seasonings and spices; and there delectable French-made croissants.

But I had NO idea the extent that they had edible items.

Then there was that life-altering moment that I discovered they had–wait for it–WINE. Yes, you can buy wine from WS. Was I the only one who didn’t know? Well I know now nd i couldn’t be more excited.

I started wondering if it was possible to host an entire dinner party from start to finish strictly and solely buying everything from Williams Sonoma.

Guess what? The answer was an enthusiastic YES! How cool is it that you can order everything you need to host an amazing dinner party by merely clicking your computer screen. The only things you’d need to do is set the table; pop a few things in the oven; put the food in serving dishes; and pour the wine.

Here’s mu Ultimate Dinner Party Williams-Sonoma Style.

$50 Champagne Doyard Cuvée Vendemiaire 1er Cru: Flavors of pear, citrus zest and mineral intertwine with a fine bead of bubbles and racy acidity; ethereal aromas of apple and pear with hints of lemon oil and sourdough toast. SERVE WITH: oysters but is also rich enough to partner with substantial fare, such as creamy potato-leek soup, fish or seafood in a beurre blanc. Take a classic approach and accompany with smoked salmon, caviar, toast points and crème fraîche or downscale and have it with french fries or buttered popcorn.

$40 Schramsberg Blanc de Noir Light berry fruits carry a hint of orange zest and brioche; faint pink hue comes from the Pinot Noir as does the hint of raspberry and strawberry in the nose. SERVE WITH: light flaky fish yet enough fruity muscle to contend with dishes featuring duck or pork. It even has the power and concentration to age up to a decade.

$26 Val de Mer Brut Nature Rosé, Burgundy: Burgundy’s limestone soils lend a minerally edge to this effervescent rosé’s strawberry and white cherry flavors. While it offers loads of succulent, generous fruit, the wine is uncompromisingly dry, with very fresh acidity balanced by a creamy texture; A pretty bright copper color, this sparkling rosé bursts with wild strawberry, citrus and brioche scents. SERVE WITH: best with salty, savory foods without a trace of sweetness, such as smoked fish, charcuterie, caviar and strong cheeses. And its medium-light body and zesty acidity make it a brilliant choice for crudités, shellfish or salads (just go easy on the vinegar). For a special occasion or cocktail party, serve the wine with variety of crostini topped with savory ingredients such as mushroom, green peas, and chicken or crab salad.
